At first glance, this is a paradox.
Well, what, tell me, is the power in the void,
- there are no joules, no newtons - in that void ...
However, not all so simple. We talk about emptiness
we mean some physical parameters
our world in comparison. In comparison (interaction),
vector and point of application of force and lies the secret of the mystical Force of emptiness.
For example, can you move a refrigerator? Probably yes. Well, after consulting with his wife, of course ... That is, the application of force to another force is clear to us, directed according to the interaction of these forces, and even not always punishable. Now let's imagine: we started moving the refrigerator, and it suddenly disappeared! At all. There was a refrigerator - it became an empty place. What will happen to your effort and to you? Most likely, your own effort will overturn you, sending you to kiss the wall beforehand, if you don’t break your head on it.
Pushing off the ground, we can jump, but if the ground leaves from under our feet, we will fall through with it. Once on the ice, we cannot walk on it like on a pavement, since it is a void for our feet that cannot be leaned on. The same goes for walking on water. So, in our, excuse me, forces, to use force only against force. But no one can push the void away or pierce it with a sword.
The same thing happens in society. “Beyond the sky there is still a sky” - they say in China, and, in accordance with this principle, we are changing the angle of view on the laws of physics. You can often hear such phrases: “She supported me”, “You can rely on him”, or, conversely: “You cannot rely on him”, “It was hard for me without your support”. Without going deep into the psychological component, I will only note that both the presence of support, that is, resistance, and the absence of support, that is, emptiness, affect the outcome of human activity.
Now let's imagine that you are our desired refrigerator, and they are going to move you. You're heavy, but that guy in sweatpants isn't weak either. You resist for a while, and then ... disappear. Stop resisting. At all. You turn into a void. And skip the poor fellow with his intentions straight to the wall.
Many have learned - this is the principle that is used in some martial arts - the use of the opponent's strength against himself. But, after all, it is not at all necessary for us to overturn an opponent or react to insulting words - it is enough to become a void for an external source of influence. To put it simply: no resistance, no impact. There is nothing to hook you on - there is no ground for resentment.
What is it about tai chi? Taiji, as the progenitor and inspirer of many types of martial arts, implements exactly this principle of the "Power of Emptiness". And, since tai chi is not just the execution of a form, but rather a way of life and a way of thinking, the skills acquired during training are automatically projected onto all areas of a person's life. Will this make life easier? Don't know. But “moving” you will definitely become less when you master the Power of emptiness.
Therefore, the practice of tai chi attracts people who have embarked on the path of development and who are looking for a way to make their lives and decision-making more effective.
You can practice tai chi in Northampton too. Write and we will work.
