World Tai Chi & Qigong Day is held each year in over 80 nations on "the last Saturday of April" each year.

April 26th, 2025 at 10 am local time all over the world. It begins with mass Tai Chi, Qigong, and Mind Body events in the earliest time zones of New Zealand, and then spreads at the world turns, 10 am local time worldwide...
As well in Northampton.

Tai chi is accessible to people of all ages and abilities and can be practised on many levels, from a meditative exercise to a martial art.

However, many people practice Tai chi as a means to physical, mental, emotional and spiritual improvement and see it is as never ending journey, where the more you know, the more you realise you have yet to learn.


Three hours of free workshops for you. Join us in the Abington park.
There are Tai chi, Qigong, Bailong ball and Dragons workshops in the programm.

𝑶𝒑𝒆𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒇𝒖𝒍𝒍𝒚 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆 𝒎𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒄𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒆𝒔 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒚𝒐𝒖:

 

10 am - Qigong: 8 Brocades
11 am - Tai chi for adults 
1 pm - Tai chi for seniors (65+)
3 pm - Introduce to Taichi Bailong ball

Tai chi fills the body with tone, builds the structure and muscles necessary for life, while giving flexibility and the ability to not only tense up but also relax. Tai chi is about sensible and organic balance!
There is growing evidence that this mind-body practice, which originated in China as a martial art, has value in treating or preventing many health problems. And you can get started even if you aren't in top shape or the best of health.

𝑻𝒂𝒊𝒄𝒉𝒊 𝒊𝒔 𝒂 𝒑𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒊𝒔 𝒂𝒄𝒄𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚𝒃𝒐𝒅𝒚:

-It is low impact and the less martial styles put little stress on bones, joints and muscles.
-It can be practised anywhere with very little space - three square feet is plenty. People say it can be practised in a lift. It can be practiced indoors or out.
-It requires no special clothing or equipment.
-It is done at your own pace.The risk of injury is low.
-It is ideal for people with medical issues like arthritis or recovering from injury as the movements are gentle and low-impact, and practice is at the pace of the practitioner.

Classes will be held in all weather conditions.
